Pawer: the free gym log I built for iPhone

By Anton Yefanov ·

Pawer is a free workout tracker and gym log for iPhone. You open it at the gym, log your sets, and it keeps track of your progress and personal records for you. It works offline, needs no account, and has no AI coach or social feed.

Why another workout tracker?

Most gym apps want you to sign up, follow people and read an AI-written plan before you can write down a single set. I wanted a gym log that does one job well: record what you lifted as fast as possible, then show you whether you're getting stronger. That's the whole idea behind Pawer: log the workout, see the progress, get stronger.

Log a set in two taps

Each set shows the weight and reps from last time, so most sets are a quick adjustment and a tap. Warm-up sets, drop sets and supersets are supported. The rest timer runs on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and it keeps accurate time even when you leave the app.

For bodyweight and conditioning work there is a circuit mode that shows the current round, the next exercise and a pausable rest countdown.

412 exercises, each with a video

Pawer ships with a library of 412 exercises. Every one has a short demo video with the working muscles highlighted, and the videos are stored on the phone so they play without a connection. You can search by name, muscle or equipment, or browse the Pawer exercise library on the web, for example the guides for the barbell bench press, barbell squat and deadlift. If something is missing, you can add custom exercises with a photo, category and logging type.

Progress and PRs that track themselves

Personal records are detected automatically and attached to the workout that set them. Pawer tracks your best estimated one-rep max for every lift, and shows a training calendar along with volume and time-in-gym trends. Sessions where you beat your previous effort are marked, and there are achievement tiers and shareable cards for your best moments.

Switching from Strong or Hevy

Your history comes with you. Pawer imports CSV exports from Strong and Hevy. If your log lives in notes, a spreadsheet, a Word file or a PDF, the free workout log converter turns it into something Pawer can import.

Free tools for lifters

The Pawer website also has a set of free calculators that work in the browser, with no app or account needed:

Private by default

Your workouts stay on your phone. There is no account and no sync server. Pawer collects only limited, anonymous usage analytics.

Pricing

Logging, full history, personal records and the whole exercise library are free with no time limit. An optional Pawer Pro upgrade adds unlimited templates, unlimited custom exercises and longer analytics ranges.
